TERMS

Terms & Conditions

These terms set out the general basis on which Harborough Websites provides website design, hosting and related services. Any written quotation or project agreement may add to or vary these terms for a particular project.

Website design

The standard website build is designed as a straightforward small-business website. Unless otherwise agreed, the advertised £250 build covers up to three core pages, a mobile-friendly layout, reasonable copy and content support, contact features, basic on-page SEO setup and launch support.

A free initial mock-up may be prepared from information supplied by a prospective customer. The mock-up is provided without obligation and is intended to demonstrate a possible direction for the website. It is not a commitment to deliver a finished website until a project has been agreed.

Your content and responsibilities

You are responsible for ensuring that photographs, logos, text, trademarks and other material you supply can lawfully be used. You should also check factual information, prices, claims, contact details and other business-specific content before the website is approved for launch.

Timings depend on receiving the information, feedback and approvals needed to complete the work. Significant changes to the agreed scope, additional pages or specialist functionality may require a separate quotation.

Approval and launch

You will have an opportunity to review the website before launch. Approval confirms that you are satisfied with the website as presented, subject to any separately agreed outstanding work.

Hosting and ongoing service

The standard ongoing hosting service is advertised at £150 per year. The precise hosting arrangement and anything included alongside it will be confirmed with you. Third-party platforms, domain registrars, hosting providers and software services may operate under their own terms and availability.

No website or hosting service can be guaranteed to operate without interruption. Harborough Websites will take reasonable care in providing the agreed service but is not responsible for outages or failures caused by third-party services, internet infrastructure or circumstances outside reasonable control.

Domains and third-party services

Where Harborough Websites helps arrange a domain name or third-party service, availability cannot be guaranteed until registration or purchase is complete. Renewal charges or third-party fees that fall outside the agreed service will be made clear where applicable.

Payment

Prices and payment timing will be confirmed before paid work begins. Any additional work outside the agreed scope will be discussed before it is charged. Unless stated otherwise when quoted, prices shown on the Harborough Websites website are the prices payable by the customer.

Cancellations and ending services

If you want to cancel a project or ongoing service, contact Harborough Websites as soon as possible. Any amount due will depend on the work already completed, services already supplied or committed to, the agreement for that project, and any statutory rights that apply. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Intellectual property

You retain ownership of material you supply. Ownership and licensing of the finished website, design work, third-party themes, plugins, fonts, imagery, software or other components may differ depending on how the site is built. Any material restriction that affects your use of the finished website will be explained where relevant.

Liability

Harborough Websites will provide services with reasonable care and skill. It does not guarantee particular search-engine rankings, levels of website traffic, enquiries, sales or other commercial results. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
